My name is Justin Turkus. I’m a tattoo artist based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, specializing in script lettering and fine line black and grey tattoos.

how I work

I tattoo by appointment at my solo private studio, Rabbit Ear.

I collect requests for new appointments usually twice per year. During those periods, you can fill out an inquiry form to tell me about your idea. The rest of the time, when my books are closed, you can join my email list, and I’ll be sure to notify you the next time I’m scheduling appointments.

I’m primarily focused on tattooing my hand-drawn custom script lettering as well as fine line and single needle plants, animals, and other designs in black and grey, occasionally with color.

I get more appointment requests than I am able to schedule, so I prioritize my own original designs and I select the projects that I feel are the best fit for me. If I can take on your tattoo, I’ll send you a price quote and a link to my calendar to schedule. You’ll pay a deposit to confirm the appointment.

You can expect to see the design the day before your appointment.

I encourage you to send me a healed picture once your tattoo is healed. If needed, I offer one free touch up within the first year after your appointment to make sure your tattoo heals as successfully as possible.
